Diponegoro University (Undip) officially inaugurated Prof. Agus Trianto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. as Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) for the period 2024-2029. The inauguration event which took place on August 5 2024 was attended by a number of university leaders, lecturers, staff and student representatives, and took place solemnly.
Prof. Agus Trianto will continue the work of Prof. Ir. Tri Winarni Agustini, M.Sc., Ph.D., who previously served as Dean of FPIK during the 2019-2024 period. Under the leadership of Prof. Tri Winarni, FPIK has experienced various significant advances, both in the academic and research fields. The achievements achieved by the faculty during their term of office provide a strong foundation for the development of FPIK in the future.
In his speech after being appointed, Prof. Agus Trianto S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. conveyed his vision and mission to bring FPIK to become a superior faculty at national and international levels. He emphasized the importance of innovation in research, strengthening collaboration with the fisheries and marine industry, and improving the quality of education for students. Apart from that, Prof. Agus also underlined the need to strengthen synergy between academics, students and the community in maintaining the sustainability of marine resources.
This inauguration event is also an important momentum for the entire FPIK academic community to continue to unite and collaborate in realizing the faculty’s vision. Under the leadership of Prof. Agus Trianto, FPIK is expected to be more solid and innovative in responding to challenges and opportunities in the future. Congratulations to Prof. Agus Trianto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. for his inauguration as Dean of FPIK Diponegoro University for the 2024-2029 period.
