March in Busan is the start of a beautiful spring. In the spring of 2023, four FPIK Undip students had the opportunity to take part in the Student Exchange program at the Korea Maritime & Ocean University (KMOU) in Busan. They are Alvinola, Rinta, and Yohanna from the Marine Science Undergraduate Program, and also Maulana from the Aquaculture Undergraduate Program.
This student exchange activity is a continuation of the collaboration between FPIK Undip and the Office of International Affairs of KMOU. Students from FPIK Undip received the GKS scholarship to study at KMOU for 1 semester, and one student also received a GKS scholarship for 1 year. Courses related to the field of Marine Biosciences including Marine Food Resource Practice, Food Processing, and Marine Applied Microbiological Laboratory. In addition to new knowledge in marine studies, the six students also had the opportunity to learn various things about South Korean culture and language through Basic Korean Language classes and field trips.
Just as spring that marks a new chapter of life, we hope that this exchange activity will be a great start for the success of FPIK students and a bridge for a cooperative relations between Undip and KMOU that shall last for a long time.
