In mid-November 2020, a student of the Department of Marine Science, batch 2020 named Sinatrya Ahmad Dwifa, won 3rd place in the APROTECH scientific essay competition organized by the Fishery Product Technology Student Association, FPIK Bogor Agricultural University. The big theme of the essay competition in this activity is “Optimization and Innovation of Fisheries Resources in Realizing the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Fisheries Sector” with four sub-themes, one of which is “Fisheries Economy and Entrepreneurship”. Seeing this, Sinatrya, who is currently undergoing semester 1 lectures at the FPIK UNDIP Marine Science Study Program, took the initiative to raise what he was studying to become the background for the idea of writing essays. This is in line with one of the courses he teaches, which is entrepreneurship with a focus on marine, fisheries and coastal communities.
The title of the idea presented by Sinatrya is “i-Fish: Application-Based Digital Platform and Website as a Means of Entrepreneurship in the Fisheries Sector to Meet the Needs of Non-Farmed Fish in Indonesia”. The process of topic taking, writing, mentoring and preparation for the competition was guided by Dr. Mada Triandala Sibero.
Sinatrya carried out the full paper stage and continued by making a prototype design from his ideas. Until the announcement of the winners on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 20.00 WIB, Sinatrya was chosen to be the 3rd winner in the essay competition at the APROTECH event.
