“It is my dream to study at UNDIP’s Marine Science because I am interested in things related to the sea and nature. I have also participated in activities with the theme of nature conservation since high school. This Marine Science Undergraduate Program is my first choice,” said Azar Arfahany, who graduated from SMA Negeri 2 Salatiga. Azhar also aspires to work at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries.

As in previous years, our Marine Science Undergraduate Program also welcomed a significant number of students from outside Java. One of them is Aliyyah Khoirunnisaa from SMA IT Al-Furqon, Palembang. “I want to enter UNDIP’s marine science study program because when I was in high school I participated in the activities of the Green Generation Indonesia, an organization which discussed a lot of the environment. I also realize that the potential and utilization of Indonesia’s seas is significant, and job opportunities in the marine sectors are widely open”, said Aliyyah, who is curious about marine life and aspire to become the Minister of Marine Affairs.

With the Merdeka Campus curriculum, students can also internship opportunities and apply for student exchange programs at other campuses in Indonesia as well as abroad. The key to a successful study is to be curious and happy everyday.
