Congratulations to the two lecturers of the Department of Marine Science who have received research funding from the Kedaireka Matching Fund program in the second half of 2022. The research funded ie, the one proposed by Dr. Munasik with the title Application of coastal ecosystem restoration technology made of concrete by utilizing coal waste for blue economy development in Batang Regency, Central Java. Dr. Munasik has been working on coastal ecosystem restoration activities, especially coral reefs, one of which is by applying Artificial Patch Reef technology in Jepara Regency. This activity was supported by various stakeholders from government, companies, local managers, researchers and students. Furthermore, technology for ecosystem restoration will also be developed for coastal areas in other district with the concept of a blue economy. Another research with Kedaireka 2022 funding was proposed by Dr. Agus Trianto, who works on the Development of probiotics to increase production of shrimp culture. In addition to supporting the growth and health of shrimp, probiotics are also known to be more environmentally friendly.
